My husband groaned when I ordered this bed knowing that it would come in a box in a million pieces. It did, and the box was very heavy. But the pieces were very wellorganized and labeled. There was even extra hardware in case something was lost or missing - nothing was though! Because my husband was less than excited about this purchase, I went ahead and began assembling it myself. From start to finish, it probably took me about 3 hours, but I was working slowly so I wouldn’t screw anything up and it also included moving furniture out of the way and I was working on laundry at the same time.I loved the ratcheting tool that came with the hardware - that made assembly so much easier!I’m very happy with the bed. I agree with other reviewers that the drawers aren’t the greatest - they’re really just wire baskets and they’re hard to lock into the closed position. Fortunately, the room this bed is in is carpeted and the drawers seem to stay in place without having to “lock”them. I’m guessing that wouldn’t be the case on a hard floor. No one has slept in the bed yet, so I don’t know if that will make any difference or not, but I doubt it.I love the look of this bed, I feel like it was well designed, and once assembled it looks like a quality piece of furniture.I think the price was great and I’m extremely happy with my purchase!
