the design was unusual to me - for example the shoe almost seems like it's one solid piece (e.g., the tongue is just part of the body not a separately sewn in piece) - but maybe it's just not a way of making shoes i'm familiar with. (plus the tight grip on ankle is odd, not necessarily bad, just odd).the fit is snug. i do require orthotic inserts which reduces available inside height. usually no a big deal as shoes can expand - unless they are this shoe which is solid and no real room to expand.despite the unusual design they are actually comfortable enough to go 30 - 45 minutes on a treadmill without issue. not sure i could wear them for long periods of time.glad the color didn't match the picture. the picture looked like color was "old linen", but fortunately they were just regular white.
