So directions could have been better. They didn't do a good job explaining it COMPLETELY through. I read the reviews and so I was prepared for that. However, I was not prepared to construct the entire bed and then have issues with the drawers not holding together. The clamps continued to break and the entire drawer will not stay together. I could have spent alot less on a regular bunk bed if the storage wouldn't be usable anyway. I can't resend it at this point drawers are the last thing to piece together so now I have a fully constructed large bed.Also, the main support wood broke in half under the bottom bunk. I will now have to replace the entire wood as it was faulty which means taking off the staircase because I can't reach the screw with the staircase in the way.Hope this helps someone. Try to inspect all parts even though in most homes space will be a problem to open every package before starting. And if storage is what you are buying this for be prepared not to be able to use it.Overall, this is a nice sturdy bed BUT the assembly/instructions were absolutely horrendous. We ordered the grey bed and noticed they must have actually painted over the white to give us our grey bed as we could see lots of white underneath ……. Not the greatest paint job on the bed itself. Looking back at the reviews, everybody was complaining about the instructions or lack there of.Beautiful design and concept specially the extra drawers. But not sturdy enough. We ended up putting extra support in the bottom bunk but haven't figured out the top bunk yet. It did take 4-5 hours to assemble as the instruction states.The bunk bed is super sturdy and instructions look to be updated to help guide you what side you want the stairs to be on.Only bad thing was we were missing a big piece of wood for the stairs to be finished and can't get it shipped out until June. So have to wait 2 months for a part. (Stared making bed in April.) However due to this issue the retailer was courteous enough to give us a decent refund for waiting on the missing board.I put this together by myself in about 4 hours. I thought it would be difficult. It wasn't. The instructions were very clear. Give yourself enough time and don't rush. I hope it lasts until our kids moves out.Instructions could be a little bit clearer but was able to figure it out, just had to stop and think a little bit about which side the latter was going to go on in which way the parts needed to be.Great product, however the instructions and pictures could a little more concise, and the hardware could be better quality. Thus the 4 star rating.I bought this bed for teenage girls. I loved the design and the fact that I wouldn’t have them fighting over who gets the bigger bed. Full over full! Great! However this thing is so flimsy and cheap that my husband and I had to buy extra lumber to make it safe for them to sleep on. If you are buying this for anyone that weighs more than a toddler look elsewhere!
